This classic timepiece is custom made, inspired by the Elegance Collection—SGM221— of the Japanese Ikebana arrangements. The dial features multi-faceted hands and highly-lumed hour markers that shine, even in dim light. A tempered-green GMT hand contrasts beautifully against the ivory vertical patterned dial, resulting in a highly legible design that allows for easy tracking of two distinct time zones via a 24-hour ring. The case—with its comfortable curved design, box sapphire crystal, and tapering lugs—calls back to the very first Grand Seiko watch from 1960. Powering the watch is Caliber 4R34, which features automatic winding, GMT functionality, 41+ hours of power reserve, and accuracy of +10/-6 seconds a day. This beautifully decorated movement can be admired through an exhibition case back.
